Formerly
the Powder Springs Ski Area, Revelstoke Mountain Resort on Mount
MacKenzie in the Kootenays provides excellent skiing opportunities,
offering world-class lift, snowcat, and helicopter skiing and
snowboarding.
Every
year, more than 8,000 helicopter and snowcat skiers from around
the world flock to Revelstoke, British Columbia, attracted
by its perfect powder and varied alpine terrain. Upon completion
of Revelstoke Mountain Resort, over 20 lifts and more than
100 ski and snowboard runs will be created, transforming the
area into a world-class resort.
The $1-billion,
four-season resort will be completed over 15 years and will
include over 5,000 new housing units (1,500 resort condominiums,
2,000 hotel suites, 850 townhomes and 550 single-family lots),
as well as more than 500,000 square feet of commercial and
retail space, plus a signature golf course.
Revelstoke
Mountain offers 5,620 vertical feet, two high-speed quad lifts,
an eight-passenger gondola, a renovated and expanded day lodge
with restaurant, deck, retail, and rentals, and 52 gladed
and groomed trails, open bowls, and steep chutes. The
availability of both helicopter skiing and cat skiing operations
makes the resort a one-stop destination for lift, snowcat,
and helicopter skiing.
Revelstoke
is located in the heart of the world’s best heli-skiing. Two
impressive mountain ranges, the Selkirks and the Monashees,
provide unmatched terrain. Unique snow conditions and mild
climate provide great powder from December through to April.
Revelstoke boasts over 500,000 acres of terrain with over
200 established runs.
Cat Skiing
in Revelstoke offers access to untracked terrain and world-renowned
powder skiing in the legendary Selkirks. Snowcats take skiers
and boarders to all levels of terrain, from wide-open bowls,
to steep chutes and cornices.
Revelstoke
Mountain Resort is located on Mount MacKenzie, between the
spectacular Selkirk and Monashee Mountains, 3.5 miles (6 km)
southeast of downtown Revelstoke.
