Ranked consistently as one of the top courses in all of Canada, Gallagher’s Canyon is a fantastic test of golf and a must-play when you are in the Okanagan.

Stretching to nearly 6800 yards from the tips, Gallagher’s Canyon certainly has plenty of yardage to keep your driver busy but it is how you position yourself for your shot on the green that is the most important thing at Gallaghers.

A great example of the Gallagher’s brand of golf is the 414 yard par 4 eleventh. A virtually straight-away hole with a two-level fairway, golfers are left with an interesting decision on the tee: Do you pull out the driver and try and reach the second tier of the fairway, 260 yards away, or do you hit a more conservative 3 wood and go at the green with a mid or long iron? The ball really carries in the dry Okanagan air so 260 yards is not unreachable, but if the drive is just a little inaccurate you will left with a challenging shot to a green that is defended by a steep fescue-strewn hill on the right and by bunkers both in front and behind. Executing a well thought out strategy will get you on the green in regulation. Fail to execute your plan and you will have to work some magic to get down in regulation.
