With
spectacular views of Mt. Baker and the surrounding Gulf Islands,
Cordova Bay Golf Club has quickly become a favourite of the locals
and a hot spot for travelers looking to get in some golf with a
Vancouver Island flavor. Its forgiving fairways and smooth bent-grass
greens make the Cordova Bay course appealing to the medium handicapper,
while its multiple tee boxes, twelve lakes, and sixty-three sand
traps, make it a great test for the expert golfer as well.
No hole typifies
this Cordova Bay-approach better than #17. Higher handicappers will
want to take the forgiving land route to this short par four, while
low handicappers won’t be able to refuse the challenge to cut the
corner and carry the 240 yards of water to this narrow, well guarded
green.
Be careful
though, landing on the green and sticking on the green are two different
things. Landing anywhere on the green will make eagle a very attainable
score, but anything short or off the back will turn par into an
even greater achievement. Come check out why the locals can’t get
enough of this course. Golf Cordova Bay Golf club with BC Golf Vacations.
