McKenzie Lake
is located on the Forbidden Plateau of Strathcona Provincial Park,
approximately 10 km west of Courtenay.
The lake is reached by hiking trails from either of the Mt.
Washington or Forbidden Plateau Ski Areas, access to which is
by well signed roads west out of Courtenay.
