The Eldred River flows southward into Goat Lake, northeast of Powell River on BC's Sunshine Coast.

The river is accessible by restricted logging road (weekends and after hours only) or via boat from Powell Lake and Goat Lake.

Canoes and cartoppers can be launched from a float at the top of Goat Lake, off Goat Lake Main logging road. Access points are available at numerous points along the road.

Note that the Eldred River is not navigable.

Cutthroat Trout to 8 lbs and Rainbow Trout to 5 lbs are caught all year round.

Nearest Town: Powell River

Nearest Lakes: Goat Lake, Powell Lake, Dodd Lake

Nearest Park: Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park, Inland Lake Provincial Park.

Additional Info: Camping is available at vehicle accessible campsites in Inland Lake Provincial Park. Goat Lake is located on the Powell Forest Canoe Route, with rustic camping available at the lakes on the circuit.
